Remembering Elna Mae

Last week we lost our dear friend Elna Mae, we had the privilege of going to meeting with her in my home town. Besides being known for her kind, sweet spirit and her love for Truth, she was often referred to as "The little lady that wears the hat". I think the only time I had ever seen Elna Mae NOT wearing a hat was when we had visited her in the hospital. During her last few days it was her wish that everyone could pick out a hat for themselves. At the dinner following her service there were three tables of her hats and everyone got to pick one that was special to them. I thought it was a very sweet way to remember and honer her that day. It really made you smile to see not only the ladies wearing hats, but also the men. Looking back I really wish I would have had my camera to take everyones pictures.

When we got home Sunday night, I looked over to find Sally sitting in her chair admiring herself in her new hat. I know Elna Mae would have loved these pictures, and I thought it would be fun to share with you all.

The first picture is of Elna Mae and Sally last July at the fair parade. Elna Mae, we will miss you, but we are so thrilled that you have made it to where we are all hoping to be one day, above with our Heavenly Father.

(the second picture is kind of dark, but if you click on it you can see how cute she was, this was before she discovered me taking her picture.)

Catching Up!

We have been so busy lately, I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. I don't even know where to start I am so behind, so just a few sweet ones and I am working on updating my slide shows so you can see all that we have been up to.

This picture was taken last year on Labor Day weekend on our annual camping trip. The next picture was taken this year......oh how they change in one year!

This is a little bit of Sally's personality at 18 months!

This pic was taken on our 6 year anniversary.....we are just an old married couple. ;o)
