Green River Fun

Once again we made our annual trip to Green River for our 1/2 marathon......they added a 10K this year so I downgraded a bit and mom and Becky came along for support :o). Byron decided to go ahead and run the 1/2 - this is what he wanted to do, he doesn't train, he placed 8th overall, and 3rd in his age group and he hobbled around for a few days after....BUT oh the fun and pain. We enjoyed another fun weekend with Great grandparents Al and Laura Anne. It's late so just pictures with a few captions will have to do.

We saw a prairie fire on the way....

Great Grandpa Al and Sally
Waiting for Byron ......
We made it......

We enjoyed a car show...grandma enjoying this fun pink Thunderbird.
We listened to some fun music.... The crew...
On the way home....
Now what you have all been waiting for for....haha!!

I have a really great video, but it must be too big, it uploaded all night and now it's time to go. Anyway, once we caught the pig and got him to the barrel we went right over the top.....
Sorry guys, we will try again next year!! But thanks for looking....and due note that the pig was thrashing around and squealing the ENTIRE time. I think this event depends entirely on the pig and our pig really didn't want us messing with him....oh well, we still had fun.

Sally is Five Months Old!!

Prepare yourselves for a huge post......First though, Sally is 5 months old today!! Yeah for Sally! I have 30 min to get this post up otherwise we are onto 5 months and 1 day...Anyway, we spent the last 10 days up in Wyoming and had a whale of a time! :o). Below are some pictures of all of the trips and excitement.

A quick shot for a 5 month picture. She isn't sitting up on her own quite yet, but it won't be long.
We started our trip with the fair parade. Sally really thought it was fun. Here she is enjoying sitting with her Auntie Jill.

We had fun playing with cousins Haley and Payton - they can really get Sally laughing.
Grandpa had his steam engine in the parade and later had a threshing bee at the fair.

Uncle Byron and Dad having the time of their lives.

Now this is why we came home for fair....we tried yet again to get that pesky pig in the barrel.
Aren't we cute? We thought this would help us get in the spirit.

Jill, Michelle, Jenna and Me - Don't we look tough? I have a video and more pictures coming eventually so I will post some of the after photos and the video next time - check back to see if we got that pig in the barrel!!

We celebrated Auntie Jordana's Birthday

Then headed to Mt. Rushmore...... we viewed Crazy Horse from the road.

And got a better view of the presidents.

Here is the crew....
And my happy traveler.
Then we cooled off at Evans Plunge a natural hot springs that is about 87 degrees. It flushes 16 times a day so it is always fresh. Sally really had fun, it was warm enough she didn't get cold and we were inside so we didn't have to worry about the sun.

Sally got her first pair of cowgirl boots. It won't be long and they will fit just fine....I couldn't resist trying them out a little early.

We celebrated cousin Maria's 2nd birthday.

Gramma and her girls.

We had a bad hail storm one morning that ruined the garden. It was making the windows rattle like crazy in the house...luckily though, none of them broke.

Poor tomatoes, the tomatoes didn't even survive, they were all split and bruised.

Last weekend we headed for Cody to meet our relatives that are here visiting from Norway. We only had a day with them, but we had a really great time and we can't wait until we see them again.

This is Sally too! She used to be a Sally N. before she married. Had to get a picture of the two Sally's.

We enjoyed most of our day at the Buffalo Bill Museum.

On our way back home we stopped at Thermopolis and checked out the Hot Springs. These ones are 130 degrees, quite a bit warmer than the previous.

Sally is getting good at all this traveling.

We visited the buffalo and saw quite a few babies.

Oh and somewhere in there we were helping grandpa set up irrigation pipe at his farm and we stumbled upon a rattlesnake, thankfully we saw him before he saw us and grandpa took care of him. Sorry I don't have pictures of that. My grandpa was also visiting this week and I didn't get one picture of him!! We sure enjoyed having him around though.

Other than forgetting to get a pic of grandpa I think that about sums up our last 10 days......we are happy to be home.....:o)

Here are a couple videos of the cute Sally Jane!
